Deze NTA 8133 beschrijft de opbouw, uitvoering en beoordeling van standaard brandblusproeven op lithiumaccu\u2019s, bedoeld om de geschiktheid van draagbare blustoestellen voor dit brandtype aan te tonen.<\/p>\n<p>De NTA 8133 richt zich op het stoppen van het verbrandingsproces van een Lithiumbrand. Conventionele draagbare blustoestellen zijn niet direct geschikt om deze zeer lastige en intense lithium accubrand aan te kunnen.<\/p>\n<p>NTA 8133 is de eerste publicatie die gaat over accu\u2019s met beperkt vermogen tot 600 Wh. Het is daarmee niet mogelijk om de Lithiumcellen geheel onder te dompelen en daarmee het verbrandingsproces te stoppen. De 6 Lithium pouch cellen van 100 Wh per stuk worden door middel van overlading tot ontbranding gebracht. De ontbranding zal tussen de 7 en 9 minuten duren.<\/p>\n<p>Bij het eerste vlamverschijnsel mag er direct gestart worden met de bluspoging. Voor deze poging heeft de operator 3 minuten de tijd. Na afloop van de bluspoging mag er een kort vlamverschijnsel zijn van 5 seconden wat ook vanzelf weer uit zal doven. Gedurende 20 minuten na de laatste bluspoging mag er geen herontsteking plaatsvinden. En hierna moet er minimaal 1 werkende pouch cel over zijn. Indien deze test tweemaal succesvol is behaald dan is de test geslaagd. Een blustest bestaat maximaal uit drie pogingen.<\/p>\n<p>ASAPs 6 en 9 liter blustoestellen hebben de NTA 8133 test succesvol behaald: in slechts 2 achtereenvolgende pogingen werden ieder keer 3 pouch cellen gered van de Thermal Runaway.
